The Embrace of a Lifetime

The inspiration comes from traditional triangular ponchos popular with the native peoples of central Mexico.

In this interpretation, however, the front has been opened up into two panels so that it resembles the South American Ruana.

My Abrazo is much less cumbersome to wear and sits calmly on the shoulders without slipping, drooping, or sagging toward the back as the heavier, poncho-like ruanas tend to do.

About Sizes

The proportion and size of this garment comes from the width of the fabric on the loom:

Small
18"
Medium
20-22"
Large
24"
X-Large
27"
Recommended for petite sizes under 5'. A good average for women 5' to 5'7". Generous and dramatic. Can give that special theatrical sense to the tall or large woman over 6'.
