The Embrace of a Lifetime
The inspiration comes from traditional
triangular ponchos popular with the native peoples of central
Mexico.
In this interpretation, however, the front
has been opened up into two panels so that it resembles the
South American Ruana.
My Abrazo is much less cumbersome to wear
and sits calmly on the shoulders without slipping, drooping,
or sagging toward the back as the heavier, poncho-like ruanas
tend to do.
